Trump Revokes Biden's Security Clearance President Donald Trump on Friday revoked former President Joe Biden's security clearance and stopped his access to daily intelligence briefings, an entitlement of most former presidents.
Biden, when he took office in 2021, revoked Trump's access to classified information and daily intelligence briefings, citing the Capitol breach of Jan. 6, 2021. Trump announced the revocation in a social media post on Truth Social, citing Biden's previous action as well as the report by Special Counsel Robert Hur, who investigated the alleged mishandling of classified information by Biden and issued a report in 2024.
"There is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information. Therefore, we are immediately revoking Joe Biden's Security Clearances, and stopping his daily Intelligence Briefings," Trump wrote. "He set this precedent in 2021, when he instructed the Intelligence Community (IC) to stop the 45th President of the United States (ME!) from accessing details on National Security, a courtesy provided to former Presidents." Missing Alaska Plane Found Crashed, All 10 on Board Dead: Authorities The wreckage of a plane that disappeared in Alaska on its way to Nome has been found. All 10 people who were on board died. Rescuers were searching the aircraft's last known location by helicopter when they spotted the wreckage. They lowered two rescue swimmers to investigate.
The plane, a Cessna caravan, was en route from Alaska's Unalakleet to Nome when it disappeared from radar. Unalakleet, a small community in western Alaska with a population of approximately 690, is situated about 150 miles southeast of Nome and 395 miles northwest of Anchorage.
A Federal Aviation Administration weather camera near Nome captured near-whiteout conditions for several hours on Thursday afternoon. Radar forensic data from the U.S. Civil Air Patrol indicated that at approximately 3:18 p.m. Thursday, the plane experienced a sudden and rapid loss of altitude and speed, Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Benjamin McIntyre-Coble reported. "What that event is, I can't speculate to," he said. (More) | |
State Department Condemns CCP Campaign Against Shen Yun The U.S. State Department has condemned the intimidation campaign carried out by Beijing and its proxies targeting a New York-based performing arts group, and is calling for measures to ensure freedom of expression.
Shen Yun Performing Arts's mission is to revive traditional Chinese culture that's been all but erased in China; Shen Yun also portrays human rights abuses taking place in China today targeting Falun Gong, a faith group the regime has been trying to eliminate for the past 25 years. For portraying to the world what the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) seeks to suppress, Shen Yun has faced nonstop efforts by the CCP to sabotage the company's annual global tour.
"We condemn such acts of intimidation and urge protection of the right to free expression," a State Department spokesperson told The Epoch Times, adding that they "urge the Chinese Communist Party to end its now 25-year campaign to eradicate Falun Gong."
