After Biden Exits 2024 Race, Harris Scores Commanding Endorsements

President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race on Sunday and endorsed his VP, Kamala Harris, for the Democratic ticket. The announcement sets the stage for Ms. Harris to secure the nomination against any challengers who may step up before the delegates cast their votes. That process for selecting a candidate has not taken place in the United States in decades. <br><br> President Biden made the announcement more than a month after the presidential debate against former President Donald Trump, which had triggered a mounting campaign by some in the Democrat party to call on him to pass the torch.
